Some of the best library scenes from your favorite movies and films, from Beauty and the Beast to Downton Abbey.
Who wouldn’t want to go to Egypt after seeing the Mummy? I’m admittedly a little bit in love with Edie. I wish that you would just admit that you are too. We all are. She’s perfect – especially in this library scene. Lesson learned: always climb down from your ladder when re-shelving books.
The Giver is one of my favorite childhood books, one I think everyone should read, and I think they did a great job recreating the story in this book-to-movie. If that library isn’t swoon-worthy, I don’t know what is.
Books on Books on Books. What better way could they have chosen to make the Dragonfly Inn set for Gilmore Girls? It’s darling. I’d like to book a room immediately (even if I do have to put up with Michel)
I was such an Audrey – not at all a Marilyn. And you have to admit – the girl looks good in a library. One of the best scenes in this classic film is their meet-cute in the book shop.
This is exactly how I envision myself spending my Sunday afternoons. Can someone book me a ticket to England? Please and thank you.
If i had a bazillion dollars, I would remake the house from Casper brick by brick. It’s perfection. Particularly this library! Spiral staircase included.
This really wouldn’t be much of a list without including the Beauty and the Beast library now would it? Excuse me while I drool.
What did I miss? What are some of your favorite on film library scenes?
